The district of Valsad in the state of Gujarat was first carved out of Surat on 1st June 1966. Again in the year 1997, on 2nd of October Valsad was bifurcated into present day Valsad and Navsari district. The district is a major industrial center with many major industries like Pidilite, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Vadilal, Raymond among many others. It is big on Tourism with many temples and beautiful beaches along the vast Arabian Sea.

Via Railways 

The railways in the district are under the Mumbai Western Railway division of the Western Railways. There are stations at the following places - Valsad, Vapi, Sanjan, Umargam Road, Udvada, Dungri, Pardi and Bhilad.

Via Roadways - The district headquarters Valsad is connected to the rest of the district and the country via NH 48. GSRTC ( Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation ) runs various buses connecting the district towns, villages and other cities of the state and the country.
