 The district of Alwar lies in the North - Eastern region in the state of Rajasthan. Seeped in thousands of years of culture, history and traditions, the district is one of the oldest places in the country. It is home to the Aravalli ranges,varied flora and fauna, wildlife sanctuaries, tiger reserve and numerous artificial lakes built over the centuries by various rulers to overcome shortage of water. Alwar Junction is an important station which lies in the Jaipur division of the North Western Zone of the Indian Railways. Major trains like the Intercity Express, Shatabdi Express, Mandore Express, Superfast Express halt here. 

Via Roadways - NH248A passes through the State connecting it to New Delhi. RSRTC ( Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation ) runs various buses connecting the district towns, villages and other cities of the state and the country.
