The State of Rajasthan is one of the top tourist destinations in our country. It has many cities worth a visit. One such city, also referred to as The Venice of the East, is the city of Udaipur. It was founded by Maharaja Udai Singh II in 1553 and it was the capital of Mewar Kingdom. It abounds in historical monuments, palaces, museums, forts and lakes. Here is Jaisamand Lake, which is Asia's second largest man-made lake.

Baran District, Rajasthan

 The district of Baran in the state of Rajasthan was formed on the 10th of April, 1991. Before independence it was a part of the princely state of Kota. It is located in the Southeast part of the district and shares a border with the State of Madhya Pradesh. The state is famous for the Ramgarh Crater which was formed by a meteor. The district has much cultural, traditional, historical and scientific significance. The religious places, the traditional cultural diversity, events, ancient history and the meteorite crater attract a huge number of visitors to the district. Bhilwara district, Rajasthan


The district of Bhilwara in the state of Rajasthan probably got its name from the native tribe, Bhils. Today it is well known as a trading hub and a major tourist attraction. It is also home to world renowned Ramdwara of Ramsnehi Sampraday. The founder Guru of the Sampraday, Swami Ramcharanji Maharaj, preached to his followers here. It also finds mention in the Hindu epic Mahabharat. It is one of the most ancient places in the state with a rich and varied cultural heritage.
