The aim of MTDC is the development, promotion and maintenance of various tourist locations all over the State of Maharashtra.
Accordingly the organization has numerous resorts and hotels all over the state; be it its pristine beaches, scenic hill stations, various historical and ancient heritage destinations, forest reserves and wildlife sanctuaries among others.
The accommodations are location specific and thus include Lake View, Valley Views and Sea View rooms, Cottages etc to provide their guests a unique and unforgettable experience while visiting the places
The accommodations also have food services snd canteens that provide breakfasts, lunch, dinner, tea and coffee.
To promote the unique culture and history of the State and to showcase them, MTDC is involved in holding and arranging many events and festivals that are again region and location specific.
These include The Sanskruti Arts Festival Upvan held in Thane in collaboration with TMC ( Thane Municipal Corporation ), The Kala Ghoda Festival in Mumbai etc.
The festivals and events involve contributions and collabration with various corporations and attract many sponsors.
