The district of Valsad in the state of Gujarat was first carved out of Surat on 1st June 1966. Again in the year 1997, on 2nd of October Valsad was bifurcated into present day Valsad and Navsari district. The district is a major industrial center with many major industries like Pidilite, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Vadilal, Raymond among many others. It is big on Tourism with many temples and beautiful beaches along the vast Arabian Sea.
