 Allahabad-The Judicial Capital Of India.

Officially known as the Prayagraj district,is the largest and most populous district of Uttar Pradesh.It has an area of 5,482 square kilometres.Allahabad consists of 4 districts namely-Prayagraj,Pratapgarh,Kaushambi and Fatehpur.

Allahabad has a glorious history and is one of the oldest cities in the world.It is rich for its holy places,parks,forts,museums and festivals.Allahabad attracts many tourists from all over the world to witness its beautiful places.Some of the tourist attractions of Allahabad are:

*Khusro Bagh:An exquisite garden portraying Mughal Architecture.It spreads over an area of 40 acres of land,and is a quadrangle shaped garden.Its belongs to the family of Shah Jahan.


*Triveni Sangam:A perfect place to find your spiritual side.The three main religious rivers-Ganga,Yamuna,Sarasvati meet here.The famous festival,Kumbh Mela is organized here every here and lakhs of pilgrims gather to take bath in the holy water of Triveni Sangam.

*Allahabad Fort-This beautiful architectural building stands tall on the banks of river Ganga.This masterpiece was raised by Mughal Emperor Akbar.Its unmatchable beauty boasts intricate designs,marvellous construction and exquisite craftsmanship.The charm of this place attracts many tourists all over the world.

*Anand Bhavan-A historical place of Allahabad which was built in the 1930s to serve as residence to the Nehru family.Anand Bhavan is a place where the birth and marriage ceremony of India's first female Prime Minister,Indira Gandhi took place.It is a must visit place in Allahabad.


*The New Yamuna Bridge-Also known as the Naini Brigde is among India's longest cable stayed bridge.Its stupendous architecture and the view of the bridge during dawn and dusk is mesmerizing.It has two pylons made up of concrete material that provides support to the major part of the deck of bridge held together by steel cables.It also acts as a road link between prayagraj and Nh-27 stretching across for 370 metres
